Lofoten islands. Before the storm
It was a sunny March day. Suddenly, the sky was covered with black clouds, a hurricane struck and a thunderstorm began. The photo was taken just a few seconds before the start of the snowstorm. The photo shows how the last rays of the sun still illuminate a small part of the island, but after a moment it became dark, as if at night, and everything was covered with snow.

In the photo is Archimandrite Gregory (Zoumis), rector of the Dohiar Monastery on Mount Athos, author of the amazing books "The People of the Church I Knew", "The God-loving". Geronda was widely known outside the Holy Mountain, and people came to him from all over the world to attend his talks, hear his wise words, and gain support. Thanks to such meetings, books were published in which the abbot describes his heroes with great warmth — laymen and monks, many of whom he was familiar with. His books are full of good humor, sincerity and life wisdom. Having great authority, the elder was very simple in communication and walked in old clothes. In the last years of his life, he was seriously ill, but humbly endured the torments of an incurable disease, and on October 22, 2018, at the age of 76, the elder died. The photo was taken in June 2013 in Greece, on Mount Athos, at the Dohiar Monastery. Camera: Zenit 11 Helios-44M 58 mm 1:2 BLACK&WHITE FILM 35 mm ILFORD DELTA 400

Durga Puja is a Hindu festival celebrating the Mother Goddess and the victory of the warrior goddess Durga over Mahishasura. The festival represents the feminine energy as 'Shakti' in the universe. It is a celebration of good over evil. Durga Puja is one of the great festivals of India. Durga Puja is a festival of union of rich and poor, male and female, young and old, all people of the society. All people irrespective of their caste and financial status celebrate and enjoy this festival. One such poor street child was watching the idol of Goddess Durga being made on the side of the road. There is a lot of hope in the eyes of that street child who will be happy like everyone else, wear new clothes and enjoy the festival.
