Ancient Nowruz In Kurdistan

Nowruz Eid in Kurdistan province has always been celebrated with special customs and traditions, many of which continue to this day. With the warming of the earth, spring is welcomed in Kurdistan from the month of March with celebration and dancing. The people of the mountain village of Avihang went to welcome Nowruz with a hel pehreki, carrying a torch and lighting a fire.
