biography

I am Jubair Ahmed Arnob, a documentary photographer and photojournalist. I was born in 2000 in B-Baria, Bangladesh but grown up in Dhaka since childhood. I have completed my basics of documentary photography from Counter Foto – A Centre for Visual Arts and Chhaya Institute of Communication and Photography. I have accomplished some educational certifications such as Gengeo Storytelling for Impact: Photography by the National Geographic Society and Introduction to Digital Journalism by Reuters. As well as working independently, I am a contributor photojournalist at Pacific Press Agency and Getty Images. My works have been exhibited on national and international platforms, including the USA, France, India, Italy, New York, Berlin, North America, Russia, UK etc. I have received numerous honors and awards such as Urban Photo Award 2023 (Winner), Eyeshot Open Call 2023 (Finalist), Royal Society Documentary Photo Award 2023 (Shortlisted), The BarTur/BaseCamp Award for Photojournalist of the Year 2022, NewYork (Highly Commended), Women Empowerment by Photography Club of India, India (3rd Place), World Photography Awards 2021 by the North American Photography Association (NAPA) (Honorable Mention), BarTur Photo Award 2021, New York (Shortlisted), Siena Creative Awards 2020, Italy (Shortlisted) and many more. My works have been published widely, among them in Getty Images, Financial Postbd, New Age Youth, The Business Standard, Photos Arte Interphoto, TV Capodistria, BBC Bangla, and Social Documentary.net. I am interested in socio-political-economic issues, human rights, climate change, and long-term projects.
